Dean Herriges, MCR

Dean, born in 1947, grew up in a
family business atmosphere. He is the 6th generation to take up the trade
of skilled carpenter since the Herriges family settled in Wisconsin from
Germany in 1846. Apprenticed to his grandfather's business in 1966 he was
surrounded by 5 family member who preceded him. Before the completion of
his apprenticeship, Dean was lead carpenter of a 3 man crew. In 1972 he
followed his father, Urban, to the Mukwonago area for career opportunities.
Dean's career flourished with the new
responsibility of designing and constructing residential remodeling
projects. Urban retired in 1984. Dean and his brother, Robert, became the
leaders of the family business, Urban Herriges & Sons, Inc. Dean is
thoroughly familiar with all phases of residential construction and stays
active on all job sites.
Dean is the recipient of the 1995
Hank Spies CR Superstar Award from NARI. This was awarded to Dean for
receiving the highest score in the nation on the Certified Remodelers exam.
Dean successfully completed studies to become a NARI Certified Kitchen &
Bath Remodeler in 2003. Dean also achieved Master Certified Remodeler certification in
2010. A Master Certified Remodeler has been a Certified Remodeler (CR) for at least 10
consecutive years, has at least one additional active NARI certification and has been
involved with their local NARI Chapter and is a leader in their local community.
Dean is the past President of the
Milwaukee NARI (2003-2004) and was Chairman of the Education Committee. He
currently serves on the Directors Board for Milwaukee NARI and as a Director
of National NARI.
Dean is married
to Riene and the father of 3 children, all active in the family business.
