The homeowners wanted to transform this cramped and dark 1970's style kitchen in to a bright airy space that was open to other living areas. A diagonal wall  that separated the kitchen from the rarely used dining room was removed. The new space provided ample room for a large peninsula with seating and a prep seat. The area that was once used for a small dinette now includes a double bowl sink, double oven, and tall storage. The new bay window in the dining room lets more light in a has a panoramic view of the back yard.
